What Does Paxil Treat?

Paxil is commonly prescribed to patients who suffer from OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), depressive conditions, different anxiety disorders, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), and even to females who have PMDD – premenstrual dysphoric disorder. Also avoid using along Paxil blood thinners, cimetidine, fentanyl, Lexiva, Zyvox, ritonavir, St. John's wort; tamoxifen, theophylline, tramadol, tryptophan, any heart medication, any other antidepressant, medicine to treat psychiatric disorders and almotriptan.

Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages along with Paxil in order to prevent bad interaction and increasing of such side effects as drowsiness and impairment of thinking and reactions.
